WIPGateWIP limits Jira checks on every move: one limit across several columns, per person, per class of service, or across boards.
Full name: “WIPGate: Enforced WIP Limits for Jira”
From $17 a month for up to 10 users. Billed by Atlassian, with a 30-day free trial.
Jira's column limits only turn a column red. WIPGate refuses the move that would go over: column groups, personal WIP, class of service and limits shared across boards and projects, with exceptions, overrides and a log.
What you get
Limits Jira checks on every move
A workflow validator refuses the move that would go over, on any board, in the work item view, on mobile and in bulk change. The message says which limit, for whom, and how many are in progress.
Column groups, personal WIP, class of service
One limit across several statuses, a limit per person with individual exceptions, or limits per field value such as Expedite 1 and Standard 5. Warn mode lets you try a limit before it blocks.
One overview across boards and projects
Every rule's count against its limit, per person or value, with links to the work, blocked moves and overrides for the week, and a dashboard widget for each team.

How do I get WIPGate?
Email hello@greatwork.company and we'll help you get WIPGate set up.
Does WIPGate change my boards?
No. Jira's own column limits and their red headers stay as they are. WIPGate works on the move, not on the board's drawing.
Can a limit be passed by one?
If two people move work into the same limit at the same moment, both checks can pass. The overview shows it and the next move is blocked.
What happens if the subscription lapses?
Nothing is blocked any more and rules cannot be changed; rules are kept for when it is renewed.
Where is my data?
In your site's Forge storage, hosted by Atlassian. Nothing is sent to Great Work or anyone else.
Who makes WIPGate?
Great Work LLC, an independent software company. Email hello@greatwork.company with any question about WIPGate and a person will answer.
