Whenwell help
Whenwell lets shoppers pick a delivery or pickup date and time at checkout. Questions: hello@greatwork.company, answered within one business day.
Get started
- Open Whenwell from your site's dashboard. Set your time zone on the Checkout tab.
- On Delivery, set your delivery days and time slots. Give each slot an order limit (0 means no limit).
- On Pickup, set your pickup hours and the address shoppers see.
- On Checkout, click Add the time picker to checkout and Add the slot to the Thank You page. Wix doesn't let apps place these automatically, so this step is needed once.
- Start your free trial. Until then you can set everything up, but shoppers don't see time slots.
Which delivery options get a time slot
Whenwell shows the picker when the shopper's chosen delivery option needs a time. Pickup options get pickup times; options named like "Local delivery" get delivery times; shipping options (post, couriers) get nothing. After your first shoppers reach checkout, every delivery option you use is listed on the Checkout tab, where you can change what each one gets.
If you already use Wix's own delivery time slots on a local delivery option, set that option to "No time slot" in Whenwell, or turn Wix's slots off and let Whenwell handle it. Whenwell never asks twice: when Wix has already picked a time, Whenwell's checkout check stays quiet.
Rules
- Earliest day: 0 allows same-day orders, 1 starts tomorrow, and so on.
- Notice before a slot: minutes a slot must be away to be bookable (for example 120 for two hours' prep).
- Cut-off time: orders placed at or after this time count as placed the next day.
- Book up to: how many days ahead shoppers can choose.
- Orders per day: a cap across all slots of the day.
- Closed dates: holidays and vacations; no times are offered on them.
- Delivery zones: postcodes as exact codes (75001), prefixes (750*) or ranges (75001-75099). Turn on "only offer delivery times to postcodes in a zone" to refuse other addresses. On Pro, each zone can have its own days.
A chosen time is held for 30 minutes while the shopper finishes checkout. If they take longer, the time is kept as long as it still has room.
Where the chosen time shows up
- In your Orders list: add the Whenwell columns with Customize Columns (Delivery date, Delivery window, Delivery slot, Pickup location).
- In each order's timeline, as a comment.
- At the top of the order note, if "write the chosen time into the order note" is on (Checkout tab).
- On the shopper's thank-you page.
- In Whenwell's Calendar, by day and slot.
Calendar and picking list
The calendar shows each day's orders against your capacity. Click a day to see every slot. Move puts an order in another slot (the order's Whenwell fields and timeline are updated; tell your customer yourself). Free removes an order from the count, for example after you cancel it outside Wix. Print picking list and Download CSV give you the day's orders with time, customer, phone, address, items and note.
Earliest delivery notice
In the editor, open a product page (or the side cart), click the product widget's plugin icon and add Whenwell. It shows "Earliest delivery: Fri, Oct 9" and "Earliest pickup: today". Its settings choose delivery, pickup or both, and the wording.
