UnpackwellExtract ZIP, RAR and 7z files into Google Drive folders and zip Drive folders back up, privately in your browser
$5.99 a month or $55 a year per Google account. Free trial: 10 jobs or 14 days, whichever comes first. No card needed.
Google Drive can list what's inside a ZIP but can't unpack it into a folder, and it can't open RAR or 7z at all. Unpackwell does both directions: right-click an archive in Drive, Open with Unpackwell, see what's inside, and extract all of it (or just the files you tick) into a new folder next to it. Or pick Drive files and folders and save them as one ZIP.
What you can do
What you get
- Open ZIP, RAR (4 and 5), 7z, TAR, TAR.GZ, GZ, BZ2, XZ, ISO and CAB files from Google Drive's Open with menu
- See every file with sizes, dates and the folder tree before extracting anything
- Preview text and images inside the archive
- Extract everything or just the files you tick into a new folder next to the archive, folders recreated
- Password-protected ZIPs (AES and ZipCrypto): the password stays in your browser tab
- Create ZIPs from Drive files and whole folders, with Google Docs, Sheets and Slides exported as Office or PDF, optional AES-256 password
- Big ZIP and TAR archives stream from Drive and back in 8 MB pieces, so there's no size cap from the app
- Skips Mac and Windows clutter (__MACOSX, .DS_Store) and cleans unsafe names so nothing lands outside the folder
- Files go Drive > your browser > Drive: never uploaded to Great Work or anyone else. No ads
