Remindwell for Jira: Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 1, 2026 Publisher: Great Work LLC, 651 N Broad St Suite 206, Middletown, DE 19709, USA Contact: hello@greatwork.company
This policy explains what information the Remindwell app for Jira Cloud (the "App") processes, where it is kept, and your rights. It covers only the App, not Atlassian's products, which are governed by Atlassian's own privacy policy.
1. Summary
- The App runs entirely on Atlassian's Forge platform ("Runs on Atlassian"). It has no servers of its own and sends no data to Great Work or to any third party.
- Reminder emails are sent by your own Jira site through Jira's issue notification feature, only to people who can see the issue.
- Great Work LLC cannot see your issues, your reminders or who you remind.
2. What the App processes
| Data | Why | Where it lives |
|---|---|---|
| Each reminder: issue id, issue key, project id and key, issue summary (copy), who set it (Atlassian account id), who receives it (account ids, or "assignee", "reporter", "watchers"), your note, time zone, date, time, repeat and stop rules, status, send count and times | To send the reminder at the right time, show it in the App and let you change it | Forge SQL for your site, until the reminder is deleted by you, your admins or uninstall |
| Send history: reminder id, issue key and summary, who set it, when it was sent, recipient account ids, result | "Sent to me" list and troubleshooting | Forge SQL for your site, deleted automatically after 180 days |
| Issue facts when a reminder is set or fires: summary, status, due date, assignee and reporter account ids | To word the email, resolve "assignee"/"reporter", stop when done, follow the due date | In memory while processing; summary copy as above |
| Your Jira time zone and language (from your Jira profile) | To show and compute times in your zone and clock format | Not stored, except the time zone saved on each reminder |
| Display names of people on a reminder | To show who a reminder is for | Not stored |
| Admin settings (who may remind whom, projects, default time, limits) | To apply your admins' choices | Forge app storage |
The App does not read issue descriptions, comments, attachments or other fields. It does not collect email addresses, IP addresses, passwords, API tokens, payment information or analytics. It sets no cookies and loads no third-party scripts. Email addresses stay inside Jira: the App gives Jira account ids and Jira sends the email.
3. Where data is stored
All App data is stored by Atlassian in Forge storage (Forge SQL and Forge app storage) for your Jira site, subject to Atlassian's data residency settings. Atlassian is the hosting provider and acts as a subprocessor under Atlassian's terms. Great Work LLC uses no other subprocessors.
4. Who can see what
- Each person sees the reminders they set and the reminders set for them by name. Other people's reminders on an issue are shown only as a count.
- People reminded by name can remove themselves from a reminder.
- Jira admins: the App's admin page shows totals and reminders that are paused or stopped with an error, and can delete reminders.
- If a reminder is set to post a comment, that comment is visible to everyone who can see the issue, like any Jira comment.
- Great Work LLC: no access. If you open a support request, we see only what you send us.
- Atlassian: as the platform operator, under Atlassian's privacy policy.
5. Retention and deletion
Deleted, finished and active reminders stay until removed by uninstalling the App; send history is deleted after 180 days. Uninstalling the App removes its Forge storage according to Atlassian's Forge data deletion process. Emails and comments already sent are ordinary Jira notifications and comments and are not removed.
6. Support requests
If you contact support through our help desk or by email, we process what you send (name, email, message, attachments) only to answer you, keep it up to 24 months, and delete it sooner on request.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example EU/UK GDPR or US state privacy laws), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port personal data and to object to processing. For data in your Jira site, your organization (the Atlassian customer) is the controller and Atlassian processes it on your behalf; you can delete your own reminders at any time and your admins can uninstall the App. For support data, Great Work LLC is the controller: email hello@greatwork.company. We respond within 30 days.
8. Security
The App uses only Atlassian-hosted compute and storage, checks that you can see an issue before you set a reminder on it, checks that each person you name can see it, and asks Jira to deliver reminders only to people with permission to browse the issue. It keeps no secrets of its own. Report vulnerabilities to hello@greatwork.company.
9. Children
The App is a business tool and is not directed to children under 16.
10. Changes
We will post changes here and update the effective date. Material changes will also be announced in the App's Marketplace release notes.
