Idiomark Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 1, 2026
This policy covers Idiomark: Multilingual Pages for Confluence (the "App"), a Forge app published on the Atlassian Marketplace by Great Work LLC ("Great Work", "we", "us"), 651 N Broad St Suite 206, Middletown, DE 19709, USA. Contact: hello@greatwork.company.
Summary
The App runs entirely on Atlassian's Forge platform. It links Confluence pages that are language versions of each other, shows a language switcher, and flags translations whose source page changed. It does not translate text and sends nothing outside Atlassian. Great Work does not run servers for the App, does not receive your content, and does not sell or share personal data.
What the App stores
All in Forge Key-Value Store for your site:
- Language sets: for each source page, its page id, space key, language code, current version number and a fingerprint (a one-way hash) of its title and text; for each translation, its page id, language code, the source version it was last brought up to date with, the matching fingerprint, the time and the Atlassian account id of the person who marked it up to date, and the account id of the assigned translator if one was chosen.
- Space settings: the space's source language, target languages, optional parent page per language, and display options.
- Reader preferences: for each person who saves one, their Atlassian account id, chosen reading language, switcher mode, and the last language they picked in the switcher (so automatic opening doesn't send them straight back).
The App does not store page titles or page text. A fingerprint cannot be turned back into text.
What the App reads and changes
- When someone opens a page, the App reads that page's language set and the titles of its language versions as that person, so Confluence only shows them pages they are allowed to see. Pages they can't see are counted, never named.
- When someone creates a translation, the App copies the source page as that person (Confluence's own page copy, or a new page with the same content), and may add a label such as
lang-deto the pages. When someone unlinks a page, the App removes that label. Nothing else on your pages is changed, and the App never deletes a page. - When a source page is edited, the App reads it as the App to update its fingerprint. It reads translations only when someone opens them.
- The "What changed" and "Side by side" views read the source page (current and earlier version) and the translation as the person looking, and show them in the browser. Nothing is kept.
What leaves Atlassian
Nothing. The App has no external network permissions, no remote backend and no machine translation. Great Work cannot see your pages or users. Atlassian provides the hosting and processes data under its own terms (https://www.atlassian.com/legal/privacy-policy) as the platform provider.
Logs
Forge keeps function logs that Great Work can read for troubleshooting. The App logs only error messages and page ids, never page content, and never logs tokens. Atlassian controls log retention.
Retention and deletion
Language sets stay until someone unlinks them or the App is uninstalled. Reader preferences stay until the App is uninstalled. When the App is uninstalled, Atlassian deletes the App's Forge storage for that site according to the Forge platform's data deletion process. Translation pages and lang- labels the App created are ordinary Confluence content and stay on your site.
Data residency
Forge storage follows your Confluence site's data residency location where Atlassian supports it for Forge apps.
Your rights
Because Great Work does not receive or hold your data, requests to access, correct or delete personal data (account ids in reader preferences and translator assignments) should go to your Confluence site admin. We will help: email hello@greatwork.company.
Children
The App is a business tool and is not directed at children under 16.
Changes
We will post changes on this page and update the effective date. Material changes will be announced in the App's release notes at least 30 days before they apply.
