AwaywellPlan time off, pick who covers each project, and Jira hands your open issues and approvals over and back on its own.
Full name: “Awaywell: Out of Office and Cover for Jira”
From $10 a month for up to 10 users. Billed by Atlassian, with a 30-day free trial.
Set an absence with a cover per project. Awaywell reassigns your open issues or keeps them and posts a note, redirects new work, lets the cover answer your approvals, and hands everything back when you return.
What you get
Pick who covers, project by project
One cover for everything or a different teammate per project. If the cover is away too, their own cover takes over. Covers are checked against each project's Assignable User permission when you save.
Open work moves, and comes back
Give open issues to the cover when you leave, redirect new work, and add the cover to your pending approvals. On return, only what is still with the cover comes back to you.
Everyone knows who is away
The issue view says the assignee is out and who covers the project. Apps > Out of office lists everyone away in the next 30 days. Notes on service requests stay internal.
