Vaultwell terms of use

Last updated 2026-10-05. These terms are between you (the owner of the Wix site where Vaultwell is installed) and Great Work LLC, 651 N Broad St Suite 206, Middletown, DE 19709, USA.

The service

Vaultwell takes snapshots of your site's store products, CMS collections, blog posts, Bookings services, Pricing Plans, coupons and, if you switch them on, site contacts: on a schedule, by hand, and before every restore. It shows each record's history, compares snapshots with your live site, exports snapshots as CSV or JSON, and restores records you choose, deleted records, or whole collections, after showing you a preview.

What a backup is and isn't

Vaultwell backs up the records listed above, as Wix's APIs return them. It does not back up orders, payments, invoices, members, bookings customers made, form submissions, your site's design or pages, or (on Standard) the image files themselves. Some things can't be put back exactly, because Wix doesn't allow it: a deleted product, post, service, plan, coupon or contact comes back with a new id (CMS items keep theirs), and past orders, reviews or bookings keep pointing at the old one; multi-reference CMS fields, category assignments other than a product's main category, coupon usage counts, staff working hours and (on the older Stores catalog) stock levels aren't restored. The preview lists these for each restore. Vaultwell is one layer of protection; keep your own exports of anything you can't afford to lose.

Restores

A restore writes to your live site. You confirm each one after its preview; Vaultwell saves a snapshot of the current state first, so you can restore that if you change your mind. If your site changed between the preview and your confirmation, Vaultwell stops and shows a new preview. Wix can refuse a change (for example the price of a pricing plan people have bought); the report lists each record that couldn't be restored and why.

Plans and billing

Vaultwell is a paid app billed by Wix: Standard $39 a month or $32 a month billed yearly; Pro $79 a month or $66 a month billed yearly; each with a 14-day free trial through Wix. Wix collects payment, taxes and renewals under its own terms, and you cancel in your Wix account. Plan limits (schedule, history, storage, snapshots by hand, image copies) are listed in the app. When a plan ends, no new snapshots or restores are made; you can open and export your snapshots for 30 days, then they are deleted.

Your customers' data

If you switch on site contacts, you're the controller of that data and we process it for you as described in the privacy policy. Make sure your own privacy policy allows keeping these copies, and handle requests to see or delete them.

Fair use

Don't use Vaultwell for unlawful purposes or to put load on our service beyond normal use (for example taking snapshots in a loop through scripts). We may pause snapshots for a site that does. Storage per site is capped by plan.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Vaultwell running and answer support within one business day, but we provide it as is, without warranties: a snapshot can fail (for example when Wix doesn't answer), and the snapshot list shows when it did. If we change prices, the change applies to new subscriptions only. If we ever retire Vaultwell, we'll give at least 90 days' notice, keep serving paid subscriptions until they end, and keep exports available until then.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Great Work's total liability is limited to what you paid for Vaultwell in the 12 months before the claim, and we aren't liable for indirect or lost-profit damages, including data that wasn't backed up or couldn't be restored.
