Tomewell for Zendesk: Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 1, 2026 Publisher: Great Work LLC, 651 N Broad St Suite 206, Middletown, DE 19709, USA Contact: hello@greatwork.company
This policy explains what information the Tomewell app for Zendesk (the "App") processes, where it is kept, and your choices. It covers only the App, not Zendesk's products, which are governed by Zendesk's own privacy policy.
1. Summary
- The App runs entirely in your browser inside Zendesk, through the Zendesk Apps framework. Great Work LLC operates no server for it and receives no data from it.
- Every request the App makes goes to your own Zendesk account, as the signed-in user, with that user's permissions.
- The App reads help center content (categories, sections, articles and their images) while you build a manual, and turns it into a PDF in your browser. It never reads tickets, users, organizations or other Zendesk records, and it has no data export: the only output is a formatted PDF of the articles you chose.
- It keeps nothing outside Zendesk: no copies, archives or indexes of your articles, no browser storage, no background collection, no analytics or usage statistics, no cookies of its own, and no AI services.
- Manual definitions (which articles, in what order, with what design) are saved in the App's own settings in your Zendesk account.
- Great Work LLC can't see your articles, your PDFs or who used the App.
2. What the App processes, and why
| Data | Why | Where it lives |
|---|---|---|
| Brands: id, name, subdomain, host mapping, logo address, whether a help center is on | To list help centers, use the brand logo on covers, and turn help center links into working web addresses | Read from Zendesk into browser memory |
| Help center languages, categories and sections (names, descriptions, order) | To show the help center tree and print chapter and section headings | Read from Zendesk into browser memory |
| Articles you can see: title, body, labels, section, visibility segment id, draft state, edit date, address | To choose articles, keep restricted articles and drafts out of public editions, and lay out the PDF | Read from Zendesk into browser memory while you build |
| Images inside those articles and the cover logo | To embed them in the PDF | Read through Zendesk into browser memory while you build |
| Manual definitions: names; category, section and article ids; order; chapter titles; labels or search words; languages; design choices; the name and id of who saved it and when | To rebuild the same manual in one click | Your Zendesk account, in the App's hidden installation setting |
| The PDF you build | To download it, or attach it to an article you name | Your browser (downloads) or your Zendesk account (article attachment) |
| The installation's plan name and settings; the signed-in user's id, name, role and groups | To show the plan, apply settings and decide who may edit manuals | Read from Zendesk; the name and id are saved with a manual definition |
When you close the App, everything it held in memory is gone. PDFs you downloaded are files on your computer under your control. Attached PDFs stay on their articles until you remove them in the article editor. Manual definitions stay in the App's settings until you delete them or uninstall the App.
3. What Great Work LLC receives
Nothing from the App. If you email us for support, we receive what you send (we ask you not to send customer data, passwords or API tokens) and keep it in our email system for as long as needed to help you, at most 24 months. Billing is handled by Zendesk through Stripe; we receive the subscription records Stripe provides to sellers (your Zendesk domain, the plan, payment status and billing contact), which we keep as long as tax and accounting law requires.
4. Sharing
We don't sell, rent or share personal information. The App sends data only to your own Zendesk account. We have no subprocessors for the App itself; for billing, Stripe and Zendesk act under their own terms. Who receives a PDF you build is your decision.
5. AI and model training
The App uses no AI services, and no data processed by the App is used to train any model.
6. Security
The App has no server or database to breach. It loads the Zendesk Apps framework from Zendesk's CDN and its own font files from the App package, and calls only your Zendesk account. Public editions leave out articles that aren't visible to everyone and drafts; internal editions are off until an admin allows them. Report a security issue to hello@greatwork.company; we treat it as urgent.
7. Your choices and rights
- Admins choose who may edit manuals, whether internal editions are allowed, and can delete saved manuals or uninstall the App at any time.
- Requests about personal data in your Zendesk account go to your Zendesk administrator, who controls that data. Questions about this policy: hello@greatwork.company.
- If you're in the EEA, UK or California, you have rights to access, correct and delete personal information we hold about you (in practice, support emails and billing records). Write to us.
8. Changes
We'll post changes here with a new effective date and, for material changes, email the billing contact of each paying account at least 14 days before they apply.
