Pressgate for Confluence: Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information the Pressgate app for Confluence Cloud (the "App") processes, where it is kept, and the choices people have. It covers only the App, not Atlassian's products, which are governed by Atlassian's own privacy policy.
1. Summary
- The App runs entirely on Atlassian's Forge platform ("Runs on Atlassian"). It has no servers of its own and sends no data to Great Work or to any third party, including analytics or AI services.
- It stores space pairings, the link between each draft page and its published copy, approvals, publish jobs, schedules and an audit log in Forge storage for your site.
- Great Work LLC cannot see your pages, approvals or audit log.
2. What the App processes

The App does not collect email addresses, IP addresses, browser or device data, passwords, API tokens or payment information. It sets no cookies and loads no third-party scripts.
3. Changes the App makes in Confluence
Only when a person publishes, unpublishes, schedules a publish, or asks reviewers for a review:
- creates or updates pages in the paired published space (title, body, parent), adds and removes the labels it copied, uploads attachments, and, if the space admin turned locking on, sets the edit restriction of published pages to the App (plus the people named in the settings);
- moves published pages to the trash when someone unpublishes them;
- adds a page comment mentioning the named reviewers when someone asks for a review.
It never changes or deletes pages in the draft space.
4. Where data is stored
All App data is stored by Atlassian in Forge storage for your site, subject to Atlassian's data residency settings. Atlassian is the hosting provider and acts as a subprocessor under Atlassian's terms. Great Work LLC uses no other subprocessors.
5. Who can see what
- Publishing state of a page, the preview and the diff: people who can see that draft page.
- Settings: space admins of the draft space.
- The audit log: space admins of the draft space and people who can publish into the published space.
- Great Work LLC: no access. If you open a support request, we see only what you send us.
- Atlassian: as the platform operator, under Atlassian's privacy policy.
6. Your choices
- Space admins choose reviewers, locking and what is copied, and can unpair spaces at any time.
- Requests about personal data held by the App go to your Confluence admins, who control it. Great Work LLC will help them on request at hello@greatwork.company.
7. Retention and deletion
Jobs expire after 180 days; approvals, schedules and the audit log after 365 days. Uninstalling the App removes its Forge storage according to Atlassian's Forge data deletion process. Published pages and their history stay in Confluence like any other page.
8. Security
Data is protected by Atlassian's Forge platform (encryption in transit and at rest, tenant isolation). Every action checks permissions on the server. See our security self-assessment on request.
9. Changes
We will post changes to this policy on this page and update the effective date. Material changes will be noted in the App's release notes.
