Factwell Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 2, 2026

This policy covers Factwell: Page Properties Reports and Charts for Confluence (the "App"), a Forge app published on the Atlassian Marketplace by Great Work LLC ("Great Work", "we", "us"), 651 N Broad St Suite 206, Middletown, DE 19709, USA. Contact: hello@greatwork.company.

Summary

The App runs entirely on Atlassian's Forge platform. It reads the Page Properties tables on the Confluence pages a report covers, as the person viewing the report, and shows them as a table, chart or CSV. Great Work does not run servers for the App, does not receive your content, and does not sell or share personal data.

What the App stores

In Forge Key-Value Store for your site:

  • Parsed page properties, one record per page version: the page id, its version number and the keys and values of its Page Properties tables (text, numbers, dates, status labels and colors, link addresses, and the account ids of people @mentioned in those tables). Kept for 30 days and replaced when the page changes.
  • Report results, per viewer and report: the rows a person's report showed (page id, title, space, created and updated dates, creator and last editor account ids and display names, labels, and the property values above). Kept for the cache time the report's author picks (0 minutes to 1 day) plus 10 minutes, and only ever shown to that same person.
  • Display names of people @mentioned in property tables, keyed by account id, for 7 days.
  • Two flags: whether Pickmark is installed (1 day) and, on development installs only, a development marker.

What the App reads

  • When someone opens a page with a Factwell report, the App searches Confluence and reads page bodies as that person, using their own permissions. Pages they can't open are never read or shown.
  • When Pickmark is installed, the App reads Pickmark's searchable values (a content property on each page) in the same search.
  • The App never changes pages, labels, permissions or any other Confluence content.

What leaves Atlassian

Nothing. The App has no external network permissions and no remote backend. Great Work cannot see your pages or users. Atlassian provides the hosting and processes data under its own terms (https://www.atlassian.com/legal/privacy-policy) as the platform provider. CSV export happens in your browser: the CSV text is shown to you to copy, and is not sent anywhere.

Logs

Forge keeps function logs that Great Work can read for troubleshooting. The App logs only error messages, never page content or tokens. Atlassian controls log retention.

Retention and deletion

Records expire on their own as described above. When the App is uninstalled, Atlassian deletes the App's Forge storage for that site according to the Forge platform's data deletion process. Report macros added to pages stay part of those pages.

Data residency

Forge storage follows your Confluence site's data residency location where Atlassian supports it for Forge apps.

Your rights

Because Great Work does not receive or hold your data, requests to access, correct or delete personal data should go to your Confluence site admin. We will help: email hello@greatwork.company.

Children

The App is a business tool and is not directed at children under 16.

Changes

We will post changes on this page and update the effective date. Material changes will be announced in the App's release notes at least 30 days before they apply.
