Bidiwise Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 1, 2026

This policy covers Bidiwise: Right-to-Left (RTL) Text for Confluence (the "App"), a Forge app published on the Atlassian Marketplace by Great Work LLC ("Great Work", "we", "us"), 651 N Broad St Suite 206, Middletown, DE 19709, USA. Contact: hello@greatwork.company.

Summary

The App runs entirely on Atlassian's Forge platform. It changes the direction of text inside your Confluence pages when you ask it to. Great Work does not run servers for the App, does not receive your content, and does not sell or share personal data.

What the App stores

  • On each page where it is used, a Confluence content property named bidiwise with the page's Bidiwise settings: whether auto-apply is on, the direction mode, whether Latin terms are isolated, the ids of tables it mirrored, whether someone chose Remove, and the time of the last apply. No names, account IDs or page text.
  • In Forge Key-Value Store for your site, one record per space whose admin saved space settings: the space key, whether auto-apply is on for the space, and the direction options.

What the App reads and changes

  • When a user opens the Right-to-left dialog, the App reads that page's content as that user to count right-to-left lines and draw a preview.
  • When a user clicks Apply or Remove (on a page or in a space-wide run), the App saves the page as that user, as a normal page version. Apply adds invisible Unicode direction characters and Confluence right alignment; Remove takes them out. Nothing else in the page changes.
  • When auto-apply is on for a page or space, the App reads and, if needed, saves the page as the App each time the page is created or edited.
  • Space-wide scans list the space's pages through Confluence search as the space admin, so only pages that admin can see are included.
  • The RTL section macro draws the text inside it in the reader's browser; it stores nothing.

Page content read by the App is used in the moment and not stored by Great Work.

What leaves Atlassian

Nothing. The App has no external network permissions and no remote backend. Great Work cannot see your pages or users. Atlassian provides the hosting and processes data under its own terms (https://www.atlassian.com/legal/privacy-policy) as the platform provider.

Logs

Forge keeps function logs that Great Work can read for troubleshooting. The App logs only error messages and page ids, never page content, and never logs tokens. Atlassian controls log retention.

Retention and deletion

Page settings live on the page and are deleted with it. Space settings stay while the App is installed. When the App is uninstalled, Atlassian deletes the App's Forge storage for that site according to the Forge platform's data deletion process. Direction characters already written into pages stay part of the page text; run Remove before uninstalling if you want them gone.

Data residency

Forge storage follows your Confluence site's data residency location where Atlassian supports it for Forge apps.

Your rights

Because Great Work does not receive or hold your data, requests to access, correct or delete personal data should go to your Confluence site admin. We will help: email hello@greatwork.company.

Children

The App is a business tool and is not directed at children under 16.

Changes

We will post changes on this page and update the effective date. Material changes will be announced in the App's release notes at least 30 days before they apply.
