Relabel for Jira: Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 1, 2026 Publisher: Great Work LLC, 651 N Broad St Suite 206, Middletown, DE 19709, USA Contact: hello@greatwork.company

This policy explains what information the Relabel app for Jira Cloud (the "App") processes, where it is kept, and your rights. It covers only the App, not Atlassian's products, which are governed by Atlassian's own privacy policy.

1. Summary

  • The App runs entirely on Atlassian's Forge platform ("Runs on Atlassian"). It has no servers of its own and sends no data to Great Work or to any third party.
  • Great Work LLC cannot see your Jira issues, your labels or what you change.
  • The App stores a label list and a record of each change (for undo) in your site's Forge app storage, inside Atlassian.

2. What the App processes

DataWhyWhere it lives
Label values, the number of issues using each, issue counts per project key, and the newest "updated" date of those issuesTo show the label list, filters and suggested mergesForge app storage for your site, until the next scan replaces it or you uninstall
For each change: the labels and options chosen, scope (all projects, chosen project keys or one project), who started it (Atlassian account id), times, and per issue: issue id, issue key, project key, labels removed and added, resultTo preview the change, run it in the background, show results, export CSV and undoForge app storage for your site, deleted automatically after 90 days
Issue ids, keys, project keys and label values returned by Jira searchTo build the label list and change previewsIn memory while processing, then only as described above
Names of labels-type fields and project names/keys (admin project picker)To offer the fields and projects to choose fromNot stored beyond the items above
Admin settings (project page on/off, closed issues for project admins)To apply your admins' choicesForge app storage

The App does not read issue summaries, descriptions, comments, attachments or any field other than labels-type fields, project and last-updated date. It does not collect email addresses, names, IP addresses, passwords, API tokens, payment information or analytics. It sets no cookies and loads no third-party scripts.

3. Where data is stored

All App data is stored by Atlassian in Forge storage associated with your Jira site, subject to Atlassian's data residency settings. Atlassian is the hosting provider and acts as a subprocessor under Atlassian's terms. Great Work LLC uses no other subprocessors for the App.

4. Who can access it

  • Jira admins: the App's admin page (Jira settings > Apps), which shows the site-wide label list and every change.
  • Project admins: the App's project settings page, if your Jira admins leave it on. It shows only labels on issues that person can see in that project, and only that project's changes.
  • Great Work LLC: no access. If you open a support request, we see only what you send us.
  • Atlassian: as the platform operator, under Atlassian's privacy policy.

5. Retention and deletion

Change records (including the undo data) are deleted automatically after 90 days. The label list is replaced by each new scan. Uninstalling the App removes its Forge app storage according to Atlassian's Forge data deletion process. Label changes the App made to your issues are ordinary Jira edits and stay on the issues.

6. Support requests

If you contact support through our help desk or by email, we process what you send (name, email, message, attachments) only to answer you, keep it up to 24 months, and delete it sooner on request.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example EU/UK GDPR or US state privacy laws), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port personal data and to object to processing. For data in your Jira site, your organization (the Atlassian customer) is the controller and Atlassian processes it on your behalf; your admins can uninstall the App to remove its storage. For support data, Great Work LLC is the controller: email hello@greatwork.company. We respond within 30 days.

8. Security

The App uses only Atlassian-hosted compute and storage, requests three permissions (app storage, read Jira work, write Jira work), reads project pages as the signed-in user so Jira permissions apply, and keeps no secrets of its own. Report vulnerabilities to hello@greatwork.company.

9. Children

The App is a business tool and is not directed to children under 16.

10. Changes

We will post changes here and update the effective date. Material changes will also be announced in the App's Marketplace release notes.
